My Background

My PhD work was on content-based video retrieval, stochastic models for video structure, and video summarization. I worked with Prof. Edward Delp in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Purdue University.

I also received an MA degree from Purdue's Interdisciplinary Program in Linguistics, working with Prof. Victor Raskin. I worked on the problem of developing syntactic methods for authorship attribution.

I received my BA and MS degrees from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Bogazici University. My MS thesis was on designing classifiers for automatic target recognition.
